Naadira & Izaaz

At the Mistico Equestrian Centre outside of Paarl, I had the pleasure of photographing Naadira and Izaaz’s traditional Muslim wedding. The venue was transformed into a magnificent enchanted garden, carefully cultivated by a village of wedding vendors who made their vision a reality.

The morning commenced with the Nikkah ceremony held in the garden. Under the shade of the adorned canopy, Naadira witnessed Izaaz make his vows in the presence of their loved ones.

Following the sacred ceremony, guests were treated to an array of canapes, carefully prepared by Elegante Catering. As they mingled and savored the delectable bites, international artists took the stage, entertaining everyone with their performances.

Naadira, arrived by horse and carriage like a true princess. The air was filled with anticipation and excitement as the guests watched the couple enter the venue and exchange rings.

The venue felt like a dream, with a river flowing through the venue, a waterfall cascading, bridges, hanging flowers and chandeliers heightening the magical experience.
Every corner of the venue was thoughtfully adorned with vibrant flowers, reflecting the joyous occasion. The colours of the flowers weaved a rich tapestry, creating a feast for the eyes.

Laughter, tears of joy, and warm embraces filled the air. This wedding at Mistico was a celebration of faith, and the coming together of family. The imagery I captured reflects not only the beautiful visuals but also the deep sense of community and unity that radiated throughout the day.

It was truly an honour to be a part of such a remarkable wedding, and to witness the start of this couples happily ever after.
