I had the incredible opportunity to collaborate with the esteemed interior design firm, Changing Spaces, as they unveiled their latest project in Port Elizabeth. The moment I stepped into the transformed house, I was captivated by the meticulous attention to detail and impeccable design decisions made by Cheryl Herweg and her talented team. The essence of this house had been truly transformed, and I was honored to document their work.
Every aspect of this interior had been carefully planned and executed. Custom-made furniture and bespoke cushions adorned the rooms. The wallpaper in each room was unique, and chosen based on the personality of the family member, setting the backdrop for each room’s character. It was evident that thought and consideration had been given to selecting patterns that not only complemented the furniture but also captured the desired ambiance and mood of each area. The combination of beautifully crafted art pieces and carefully curated decor elements further elevated the overall design, adding layers of depth and emotion to the space.
Among the many elements, the artwork chosen was mesmerizing , specifically Phulani Liebenberg’s painting stood out for me as a big statement piece.
The result was a harmonious blend of contemporary elegance with a touch of personal charm, transforming the house into a warm and inviting home that reflected the unique taste and personality of its inhabitants. Interior design is truly an art form.
Working alongside the talented team at Changing Spaces is always an inspiring experience.
