Lidia & Lukas

Harare was such an unexpected treat. Everything from the people, to the Jacaranda’s, the elegant but understated bed and breakfast , Ridgeway House, right to the magical wedding at Raintree.

Our experience was just amazing. I flew with Greg, who referred me to Lidia and Lukas to capture all their details, decor and guests, so thank you Greg for being a great travel partner it was a lot of fun.

Harare was going through a heat wave that weekend but by the time we arrived at Raintree, the sun was setting and it was just a beautiful evening. Raintree couldn’t be more idyllic. Rolling lawns, a river running though it with small waterfalls, surrounded by huge trees, and the other side of the river it looks like savannah land. I couldn’t believe this place. Gill Harrison did a splendid job with the decor and it was my job to photograph every detail of it. So much thought was put into everything. Once the evening formalities were over, the dance floor was opened and all the guests who had flown from all over the world put on their “African boots” and partied hard.

What a memorable day, and I would personally like to wish Lidia and Lukas all the happiness, love and joy they both deserve.
