I felt like I was in the South of France, Burgundy Bourgogne is picture perfect. Olive trees, vineyards and surrounded by the Franschoek mountain range. I don’t think think there are many venues that can compete with this one for a small intimate wedding like Jany and Jens had.
All the guests had flown in from Germany, and they had a fantastic time. It was day filled with love, fun and what sounded like the best speeches, unfortunately all said in German so I couldn’t laugh along.
It was threatening to rain all day and with the alfresco dining they had intended, the plan had to change. Having a coordinator like Kirsty from Weddings out of Africa, Jany did not have to worry. Plan B was in place and it was just as beautiful. The dining was moved into the manor house, flowers every where , hanging from the ceiling , on the tables and the fragrance was like we were in a garden.
Jany and Jens I hope Cape Town treated you to the 5 star wedding you deserved. You were both so beautiful, gracious and welcoming. Thank you for having me share your day with you. Sometimes I forget this is supposed to be “work”.
